New Delhi: Grand Fly-past from 75 Indian Air Force aircraft, cultural performances by 480 dancers were chosen through a competitive process, display 10 rolls of 75 meters each and the installation of 10 large LED screens will occur for the first time in the Republican Day Parade on Wednesday , said the Ministry of Defense.
REPUBLIC DAY Parade (RDP) -2022 is happening in the 75th year of Indian independence, which is being celebrated as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ throughout the country, the mod statement on Tuesday notes.
“Grand Finale and the most awaited parade segment, the past flying, will be for the first time watching 75 IAF aircraft featuring a number of formations, as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’,” mentioned.
For the first time, IAF has coordinated with Doordarshan to show the cockpit video during the fly, note.
Vintage and current modern aircraft such as Rafale, Sukhoi, Jaguar, MI-17, Nest, Apache and Dakota will display different formations – including Rahat, Meghna, Eklavya, Trishul, Tiranga, Vijay and Amrit – in the past, mod stated.
Ten rolls of 75 meters each and 15 feet high will be displayed along Rajpath during the parade for the first time, mentioned.
“They (rolls) were prepared during the ‘Kala Kumbh’ event held jointly by the Ministry of Defense and Culture,” he recorded.
Roll painted in two phases – in Bhubaneswar and Chandigarh – by more than 600 famous artists and young candidates from all over the country, mentioned.
For the first time, dancers who appear during a cultural program in the parade have been chosen through national competition, MOD noted.
Competition ‘Vande Bharatam’ began at the district level with the participation of nearly 3,870 dancers in 323 groups developed to the state and two-month zone in November and December, mentioned.
“Finally, 480 dancers were selected.
They will display their talents during the parade in Rajpath,” said.
For a better viewing experience in the parade, 10 large LED screens – five on each side of Rajpath – will be installed, the MOD mentioned.
“Films are reduced combining compoundages from previous Republican Day Parade, short films in the armed forces and stories related to various events in run-up to RDP-2022 will be filtered before the parade,” Note.
