Ranchi: Former Minister of Bihar and President of RJD and RJD President Prasad reached Birsa Munda International Airport on Sunday afternoon to appear in the presence of a special CBI court who would say his assessment in the case of animal feed fraud on Tuesday.
The 73-year-old leader was given a warm welcome outside the airport by the workers and leaders of the Jharkhand Unit RJD.
Then interact with the country’s leaders before driving to the country’s guest house in Morhabadi where he would stay for three days.
Then it will appear before the CBI Judge Court Special K Shashi in the case of animal feed.
This case is related to the withdrawal of rs 139.35 crore fraud from Doranda Treasury in Ranchi during 1995-96, when Bihar is not divided and then is the main minister.
Then accused of in this case, along with 99 others, who will also be present at the hearing.
Previously, then punished and sentenced to imprisonment in four other similar fodder cases by the CBI court here.
He was sentenced to prison in January 2018 and was jailed at Hotwar Ranchi prison.
However, his health deteriorated and he shifted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science Ward where he was stored under the supervision of the doctor for his chronic disease before being referred to AIIM in New Delhi in January 2021.
He was given guarantees with health reasons in April last year.
Then reached Ranchi with his personal secretary Bhola Yadav, former Finance Minister Bihar Abdul Bari Siddiqui, Shyam Rajak and another RJD heavyweight.
