There are no changes in training for women in NDA: army head

Pune: Army Chief of Staff General M M Naravane on Friday said there would be no change in training standards for women at the National Defense Academy (NDA), but the Institute must build separate infrastructure to fulfill their spread.
“We have participated in the same regimen at the Academy Training Officer (OTA) in Chennai, where training was carried out in a mixed format involving men and women,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the parade out of NDA.
“I’m sure the woman will perform better than their male colleagues,” he said by referring to the induction of the female cadet at the Academy.
“Forty years along the line, women can stand where I stand now,” said the army’s head when asked where he saw military officers in the future.
Starting from 2022, women will be eligible to join NDA as part of a decision to be informed of the Supreme Court center during the hearing of the petition earlier this year.
General Naravane said, “This is only the first step towards gender equality in the Army, who is always at the forefront of all initiatives.
The woman will feel empowered.” He said, “Not that we do not have a female officer.
We already have a woman who underwent training at OTA, Chennai.
They did it very well.
I am sure that you will also continue to prosper and develop and bring fame and glory.
“General Naravane said the war character has changed for years and technology comes to play a more important role in the way the war is fighting for Previously and would be in the future.
In his speech after reviewing the passing parade, General Naravane said the cadets of women joined the NDA must be welcomed at the Academy with professionalism and a fairness.
