Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh reported 26 fresh Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 408.
In addition, the government said that 23 people also recovered from infection during this period.
A government spokesman said that on Friday, 15 districts rose from 75 did not have one active case of Covid-19.
These districts include Aligarh, Amethi, Badaun, Basti, Deoria, Farukkhabad, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Hathras, KasGanj, Mahaga, Mirzapur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shamli and Shamli.
During his meeting with Team 9 on Friday, the Chairman of the Minister of Yogi Adityanath said that vaccination was very important in keeping the third wave of pandemic in the bay and therefore, officials must ensure that people because their second shot was vaccinated on time.
He said that Saturday was set aside exclusively to manage the second shot and conscious campaign must be held to encourage people to be fully vaccinated.
Until Friday night, 6.24 crore shots had been given in the state, which included two shots to around 98 lakh people who were fully vaccinated.
On Friday, there were 58 districts that did not report a case of Covid-19 while ProAgraj and Rae Bareli reported their respective deaths.
The highest number of cases (5) was reported from Kanpur Nagar.
