Mumbai: Adani Electricity has warned kite leaflets on the day of Sankranti Makar to refrain from flying kites near the overhead power transmission line in Mumbai.
“We hope that every health and happiness of Milma is good at the opportunity for Sankranti Makar.
But we also want to issue a warning suggestion in the spirit of a safe celebration,” said a spokesman.
The kite string, known as ‘spoiled’, is a good electrical conductor and can transmit a very high voltage if it touches the wire living above or even if he enters the curved zone, the official said.
“If citizens notice unwanted incidents as a result of unsafe kites near the transmission line, the same thing can be reported to our special helpline 19122 so we can take the necessary actions.
Or, you can contact us in the social media handle @Adani_elec_mum, or on a website or application, “he added.
