Kanpur: BJP President J P Nadda on Tuesday paid denied Namdev Gurdwara here and confirmed that no other leader did the type of work carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Sikh community.
He was also credited by Modi by ensuring that the copy of the Holy Sikh Teacher Granth Sahib reached India from Afghanistan.
Forty-four Sikh Afghanistan brought three copies of Master Granth Sahib reaching India with special flights on August 24 after the takeover of the Afghan Taliban was earlier that month.
Overcoming people in Gurdwara, Nadda said, “Being a BJP soldier, I bent my head at the foot of Master Namdev Ji and said proudly that no one else did the work done by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Sikh and Sikh Community Brothers.
“” Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done a lot of work for the Sikh community and has fulfilled their old demands.
Prime ministers have sent them involved in 1984 riots for prison, no matter how influential they are, “he said.
The BJP presidential meeting with the Sikh community in Gurdwara came several weeks after Lakhimpur Kheri’s violence, where eight people included four Sikh farmers killed.
The Chief of Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief of Minister of Keshav Prasad Maurya, State President of BJP Swatantra Dev Singh, BJP State In-Charge Radha Mohan Singh and other senior party leaders were also present on that occasion.
On the second day of two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, Nadda also inaugurated the BJP regional office here and seven other district offices.
“I always say that travelers should not stop and always walk.
Our aim is to strengthen the party,” he told party workers.
Then on that day, Nadda will discuss the meeting of President Booth from the three divisions (Kanpur-Bundelkhand) including Kanpur, Jhansi and Chitrakoot.
Nadda visited Uttar Pradesh to take the BJP preparation for the election of the State Assembly because of the beginning of next year.
