Lucknow: At least 71 out of a total of 75 Uttar Pradesh district reported zero Covid-19 fresh case on Tuesday with the remaining four districts contributed 12 new patients in the last 24 hours.
The number of active Covid cases reached 118 in the last 24 hours.
Without new or active cases, 42 districts continue to remain free covid.
These districts include Amroah, Auraiya, Badaun, Baghpat, Ballia, Barabanki, Basti, Bahraich, Bijnor, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Ettache, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hapur, Jhansi, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, KasGanj, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lalitpur, Mahaga, Mirzapur, Mainpuri, Mau, Moradabad, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shamli, Shraverti, Sitapur, Unnao and Sonbhadra.
Counts of Covid Daily in the state have not passed 50 for about two months.
“Regardless of aggressive search and testing, the level of prospective up, which shows the level of infection in the people, has registered a stable decline for several days which shows that Covid recedes from the country,” said a government official on Tuesday.
