There are no plans to suspend Neet, other entrance tests: Union min

PUDUCHERRY: The Union Union Government has no plans to suspend the national feasibility test (NEET) and other public entrance examinations due to the Pandemic Covid-19, Minister of State Minister for Health and Welfare of the Bharati Pravin Pawar family.
Furnishing a written answer with a query caused by Chennai MP Thamizhachi Thamizhachi Thangapandian and Villupuram MP D Ravikumar in parliament on Friday, the minister said Neet (PG) and Neet (UG) each will be held on 11 and 12 September.
“Examination must be done with all precautions and after all protocols include maintaining the appropriate behavior of covid.
The number of inspection centers has increased throughout the country to avoid the crowd and long journey by candidates,” Minister said.
Pawar said the acceptance card issued for candidates will bear the Covid e-pass so that it is easy from the candidates.
Describing the additional protection steps to be adopted, he said, entries and the issuance of candidates from the examination center will stagger to prevent crowding.
All candidates will be screened for body temperature and candidates detected with normal temperatures above will be permitted to take the exam in separate insulation labs, he said.
“The use of facial masks must be mandatory for candidates.
They will be given a protective wheel safety kit consisting of facial shields, facial masks and hand sanitiser.
The steps will be taken to control the crowd outside the inspection center,” he said.
The minister said the universities and countries concerned can decide on the entrance examination for receiving for art and science programs.
