Nagpur: BJP Party members protested at Samvidhan Chowk on Friday, calling for a political OBC reservation to be implemented before the poll was held.
Former State Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawansule said similar agitation was in all states so that the earliest fulfilled request.
Bawankule said, “OBC reservations have been given a green signal at the government level when Devendra Fadnivis is the main minister.
But some people who are close to Congress leaders who go to court and oppose it.” He remembered that after changes in the government in 2019, a regulation on The effect carried by Fadnivis was finally disrupted.
“The Ordinance has a six-month life and just before expiration, I met Minister Chaggan Bhujbal and asked him to fight for him.
But this government did not follow up correctly and in the end could not stand the law supervision in the Supreme Court,” Bawansule said.
The Senior BJP leader accused the state government not to show the desire to collect data related to OBC.
“The Supreme Court has demanded empirical data on OBC but the state was not ready to move forward with him,” Bawankule said.
He added that if the poll continued without booking OBC, the MVA candidate must face the consequences of elections.
“Their candidates will lose their deposits if the poll succeeds.
Our party members must ensure that the OBC voters provide a reply that is in accordance with the candidate whose party is against the reservation,” Bawankule said.
