Lucknow: There are some good news for school children in Uttar Pradesh.
Those who returned to school after almost 18 months would diminish into campus life and no tests would be held for them in the near future, the government said.

Anamika Singh, who is also a basic education secretary, said that in accordance with a series of new instructions on school functions, there will be two hours of mandatory teaching for children in grade 1 to 5, with one hour each dedicated to Hindi and one hour mathematics .
At the remaining school hours, the teacher will be asked to involve children in various sports activities and motivate them to spend time reading books in the school library.
For the top primary class (6 to 8) teachers are asked to focus on Hindi and mathematics other than science and English.
According to direction, for the first two weeks, the teacher must tell the moral story to children to help them adapt to the school environment.
This will make them feel part of the teaching-learning process.
He also asked the teacher to use a formative way to assess student skills and update it on the Prerna portal.
