There have been no plans to revise the covishield dose gap, clarify the government

New Delhi: The government on Thursday clarified there were no proposals for changes in the gap of the covishield dose, Covaxin and Sputnik Vacine V.
However, he clarified that the process was underway to assess the effectiveness of this covid vaccine.
“The process of collecting programmed data is active to assess the effectiveness of vaccines.
Ntagi review the effectiveness of vaccines regularly.
There are currently no proposals for changes in the dose of covishield, covaxin and sputnik v vaccines that are being considered,” Ntagi (National Technical Advisory Group on National Immunization at National India) Head Dr.
NK Arora told Ani’s news agency.
Clarification comes after Ani cites the government’s sources say that the center contemplates the reduction of time intervals between two covishield doses.
At present, the covishield dose gap is 12-16 weeks.
Revised from 4-8 weeks in May this year.
