There is no central nod, the main Metro project in Gurugram may not start this year

Gurugram: Working in the Metro Gurugram corridor between downtown Huda and Cyber ​​City could not start this year.
Detailed Project Report (DPR) is awaiting approval of the Urban Union Development Department, according to Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited.
Officials from the corporation said the DPR was awaiting approval from the ministry for several months now.
Even if the ministry gives its nod, the work cannot start this year because construction will take around three months to start, they said.
“We have sent DPR to the Ministry of Development Urban after obtaining approval from the Government of Haryana.
Approval from the Ministry has not yet arrived,” an official told toi.
“After we go forward, it will take three months to start working on the ground because we have to float tenders and start other processes too,” officially added.
At present, two metro routes operate in Gurugram – yellow lines, which have 7 km from all stretches of 14.5 km in Tankugram, and the Metro corridor quickly, which length is 11.6 km and connects the cyber city to sector 56 with 11 stations.
While the yellow line provides connectivity between Gurugram and Delhi, the Metro quickly provides connectivity in Gurugram, along the Cyber ​​City and Golf Course Road.
The Gurugram Metro plan has been in the pipeline for the past five years.
However, only in 2019 that every concrete action was taken, and the route was decided.
In accordance with the DPR, the new Metro route will be 28.8 km long, and will have a total of 27 high stations, including encouragement to Dwarka Expressway.
It will run in the circle between downtown Huda and Cyber ​​City via Sector 45, Cyber ​​Park, Sector 47, Subhash Chowk, Sector 48, Sector 72A, Honda Chowk Hero, Udyog Vihar-6, Sector 37, Sector 37, Sector 37, Sector 37, Sector 37, sector 37, sector 37, sector 37 (from which it will spur for Dwarka Expressway), sector 9, 7, 4 and 5, Ashok Vihar, Sector 3, Bajhera Road, Palam Vihar, Palam Vihar, Sector 23A, Udyog Vihar-4 and udyog Vihar -5.
The project will cost Rs 6,821.1 Crore and can operate in 2025.
According to the DPR, passengers in the corridor estimated 5.3 lakh passengers per day in 2025, with an increase to 7.3 lakhs in 2031, and 8, 8 lakh in 2041, and 2041.
