PANAJI: BJP President of Sadanand State Shet Tanavade on Monday rejected concerns over the MGP-TMC alliance and said, “It does not make a difference for us”.
He said the party was ready to fight with a situation where everyone was pitted with BJP.
Tanavade acknowledged that BJP was in talks with MGP for alliances, but handled by the central leadership.
“I don’t want to talk about this problem,” he said.
“Our planning is ready, and based on that, I will notify you that in 2022, BJP will form a government.
During the ZP selection, all parties came together to fight BJP, but BJP won 33 out of 50 seats,” he said.
He also said from 12 cities, BJP was able to win 10.
From the first day, the MGP functionaries have stated that they will not forge pre-polling alliances with BJP because they have been withdrawn by BJP on four occasions.
When asked about the MLA Congress and former Minister of Ravi’s chairman rose to join BJP, Tanaavade said there was a discussion about this problem everywhere, but rising must resign and approach them to join the party.
“Until now, I have not received a proposal from going up to join BJP,” he said.
Speaking to the alleged sex scandal involving a BJP minister, Tanavade said that the deadline for his power to the Congress of President Chodankar ended, but if he had his name, he had to announce it as “our leaders were in Goa”.
“So Chodankar said his name, we will immediately act against the minister,” he said.
