Pune: Pune and several other districts will not witness the direct relaxation of the restriction of Coronavirus because the level of participants in these areas has not yet declined, said Deputy Chair of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar told Friday.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of Covid-19, Pawar, who is also the Minister of Guardian for Pune, said the government has decided to continue limiting the level of three in the district.
The state government has compiled five levels of restrictions, the hardest fifth level, depending on the severity of the pandemic in certain areas.
“In some districts, the level of progress has dropped to zero percent, however, in several districts such as Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Pune, Raigad and Ahmednagar, the level of progress has not yet decreased as much as it should, so the current restrictions will still apply,” he said.
Shops in Pune will, thus, are permitted to operate up to only 4pm, he said.
“The Pune-week weekly office level is 5.7 percent.
The recovery rate is 97.30 percent,” said Pawar.
Asked about requests from various sectors for relaxation, he said the level of progress must go down further.
“The level of prospitiveness has fallen (around five percent) but the graph has stagnated at one point.
According to experts, it must go down further, the way it decreases in some regions to zero.
If it happens, we will do it, we will do it more relaxation,” said Pawar.
The district government increases the number of hospital beds to prepare for the third possible third wave, he said.
Dr.
Subhash Salunkhe, the technical adviser of the state government of the Pandemi, has suggested emphasizing institutional isolation instead of house isolation to curb the spread of infection, said pawar.
At the supply of vaccines, he said the state government was told that the dose supply would increase at the end of June.
“There are no examples when the vaccine is available at seven days a week.
There are times when vaccinations must be stopped for one or two days for a week.
That means they (the United States) do not have many shares,” said Pawar.
In the water situation in Pune, Pawar said the rain was satisfying in June, but not in July so far.
“Today’s water storage in the dam that provides water to the city of Pune is 30 to 31 percent.
We hope there will be more rainfall in the coming days,” he said.
