PANAJI: Construction work on the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) project in Dhargalim has begun in the state, without the project has been given an environmental permit.
The request for approval for the project was received by the authority of the GOO (Goa-Seiaa) state impact assessment only last month, after the site inspection is scheduled.
Violations in the construction of the project funded by the central government were revealed during inspection.
Goa-seiaa has reserved his decision to give any permits until the environmental impact assessment was carried out.
“Project initiator to submit an environmental impact assessment report because it causes damage to the environment because development has begun without obtaining a previous environmental permit and therefore is a case of violations,” Goa-seiaia said at her meeting.

“The authority has conducted a location inspection of the site proposed on August 17, where note that the project initiator has not compiled an additional entrance and exit gate, given the emergency and disaster, which cannot be ruled out,” Goa-seiaia was stated at the meeting last month.
Previously, the State Environmental Environmental Impact Assessment Committee (SEIC) has requested a detailed assessment of the environmental impact of the project.
The committee said that every tree was planted as part of the project must be of custom species.
Project initiator has been asked to consult with the Country Biodiversity Council on the choice of trees.
Now Goa-Seiaa also said that tree plantations on the site must be carried out by consulting the cave state biodiversity council.
“Project initiator provides the right waste treatment plant facility for labor yards involved in the construction site,” Goa-seiaa said.
The first phase of the National Institute will be built at a cost of almost Rs 300 Crore and at full capacity, it will have 500 seats offered for students who cover various programs.
