There is no long hair, stay away from social media: Bengal U-23 coach tells his nation

Kolkata: Former Bengal captain and Sports Minister Laxmi Ratan Shukla started new innings as coaches under 23 with a fitness camp on Monday and put some strict rules for his ward which included “stay away from social media and cut long hair”.
Stalwart domestic cricket for Bengal, Shukla has joined the Trinamool Congress in 2016 and was the Minister of State, Affairs of Youth and Sports until January this year.
Shukla then made the Howrah district president from TMC but just before the last assembly poll he got out of the post and quit politics to “concentrate more on cricket” when he returned as a Bengal U-23 coach.
“I have told children to children not to post anything on social media.
They must maintain courtesy and discipline,” said 40 years old after taking over.
The fitness camp, which lasts for more than four hours, has 60 Cricketers, which is divided into several groups and comes in batches for their training.
“Those who have long hair need to immediately visit the salon.
Third they have to learn Bengali for team bonds,” Shukla said.
“The supply line from the junior team to senior is very important and that is why I chose to work with Junior Cricketers.” I want to see more crickets that come from the district for boys and girls.
Taxis are very serious about the district games and club games and associations do everything they can for that progress.
“Shukla, who played three ODIs for India, said his work was to ensure that more Bengal players succeeded.
The national team.” Now we must recognize the talent from the districts, keep our eyes open for young talents from every corner of the country, “he said.
“I will be sure during the session that the players try, the results will follow.
“I’m not a coach, I’m a guide here to help the players.
To see more Bengal players on the national team is a hope that I have as a Cricketer.” Asked whether there was a process for success, he said: “Even when I used to play, I never believed in the process a lot.
I have seen Sourav Ganguly play and never feel like having a fixed process.” Bowling coach Shib Shank Paul and the strength and condition of coach Sabir Ali also made sure that everything went smoothly.
Chairman Selectors Senior Subhomoy Das also visited the camp.
