There is no online exam after durga puja under the university of gauhati

Guwahati: Request for ‘Comfortable Online Open Book Examination’ has forced the Gautati University (GU) authority to conduct a graduate semester exam from September 25 through online mode.
Even when university officials said the sanctity of the exam was ‘doubtful’ through online mode, sources at the university said before the celebration of the Puja Durga began, it would be the last open book exam that would be carried out by the State University.
While normalcy returned to campus, two main tests, NEET and Combined Competitive Exams of Assam Public Services (CCE), were carried out under the supervision of the authorities through pen-and-paper mode earlier this month.
GU officials, however, said that fear of protests from the students, they decided to go with online mode again, maybe for the last time, unless another wave of pandemic regarding the country.
“When we try to return to offline exam mode, students protest.
They want an online exam.
But after Durga Puja, there will be no online test under Gu,” Gu Controller of Exitation, DJ Choudhury, told Tii.
The fourth semester examination will end before the holiday of Puja Durga in Gu.
Notifications issued by GU on Tuesday stated that students must send a PDF copy of their answer script after the conclusion of the examination of each paper in the specified time.
“At the end of the entire check schedule, students must convey all original hard scripts from each subject / paper to the college authority in the time scheduled for submission in one package clearly mentions the number of rolls, subjects, paper titles, paper codes and semesters in The outer side of the envelope, “read a notification.
Detailed instructions for college authorities regarding the evaluation of the answer script will be told.
“The college authority will arrange to receive student answer scripts on the scheduled date 9 and 10 October (Sunday), 2021,” added notice.
Sources in the State Education Department said that it became an autonomous institution, the university had the freedom to decide on check mode because Covid-19 had significantly controlled.
In fact, Assam’s secondary education council (AHSEC) will conduct a higher second final examination – 2021 from October 1.
Students, who are not satisfied with the board statistical formula based evaluation, will appear for this test.
AHSEC readiness to conduct an inspection through offline mode is an indication of the state government advancing to in-people after the Covid protocol.
Class X specific checks will also be held simultaneously.
