New Delhi: The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) on Thursday said there was no tax contribution deposit made by the morfum maker of peyush Jain and its company, the Odochem industry, from the money seized to give up their tax obligations.
He also said the amount of tax that must have not been determined.
DGGI said several reports stated that after acknowledging his responsibilities, Jain had, with DGGI’s agreement, saving the total number of Rs 52 Crore as a tax contribution.
“Thus, it was formed as if the department had approved the Jain deposition and resolved the appropriate tax responsibilities.
These reports are purely speculative without basis and try to weaken the ongoing investigation integrity, which is being carried out in the most professional way based on specific intelligence on Party, “DGGI said.
DGGI has explored the total cash of Rs 197.49 Crore, 23 kg of other high-value items from two places in the case of the Odochem industry, Kannaujing – Manufacturer of Perfumerus compounds – and the owner peeyush Jain.
The agency said the report had appeared in certain parts of the media that had been decided to treat restored cash as a turnover of the manufacturing unit and propose to continue.
“In this case, it is clarified that the total amount of cash in a sustainable case of housing premises and Jain’s factory has been stored as a case property in safe Hospital Bank India waiting for further investigation,” said the agency.
He also said the voluntary submission made by Jain was a lesson on sustainable investigations and every view of the source of cash confiscated by the appropriate department and tax obligations of the Odochem industry or other parties involved in the investigation would be taken on the basis of evidence assessment.
Jain in judicial detention is 14 days.
