Mangaluru: Head of Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai said that there would be no honors guard by the police, during CM visits to the district in the future.
Bommai, who was in Mangaluru to lead a review meeting on the Covid-19 situation on Thursday, said that the police did not need to offer the honorary guard whenever CM visited.
“Police who offer honorary guards in public places such as airports and other places must be stopped completely.
They don’t need to offer it every time a cm visit.
They might offer only during the ceremony related to the police department.
I have made a decision in this matter, And will publish an order as soon as I reach Bengaluru, “he said.
CM also urges his party workers and good sympathizers not to install stockpiling for leaders.
“I am not only a minister, but a people’s servant,” he told the media on the sidelines of the review meeting.
Referring to the drive vaccination in the state, he said that he would issue orders who asked all middle and large industries, the banking and institutional sector to start vaccination for their staff.
“I will hold a meeting of all stakeholders immediately, making them responsible for vaccinating their staff.
This will reduce the burden on the government, and help the poor to get their doses.
We can divert vaccine doses to public health centers,” he said, While adding that the command in this case will be issued soon.
