New Delhi: Turkey has from Saturday (September 4) to drop the requirements of quarantine 14 days mandatory for Indian travelers who have received a covid vaccine dose that is approved by WHO at least 14 days before going there.
For Indian travelers this will mean Covishield for now because Covaxin hasn’t got the WHO nod.
Tourists will experience a negative report from the RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours to go to Turkey.
“12-year-old passengers will be released from PCR tests and application vaccination certificates on entries,” said the Turkish Embassy in Delhi in Tweet Saturday.
“This announcement will alleviate restrictions on travel for passengers who are fully vaccinated for 12 years and longer than India or live in India in the last 14 days,” said a statement.
Not vaccinated tourists need to be quarantined for 10 days.
