There is no shortage of power in: MGVCL

Vadodara: The Madhya Gujarat VIJ Company Limited (MGVCL) on Saturday said that there was no shortage of power in the state and appeal to stay away from rumors of Mongering.
MGVCL Managing Director Tushar Bhatt told media people that all power distribution companies in this country have taken adequate steps to ensure the power supply that is not interrupted to consumers.
He said that there was no coal scarcity in the state and coal-based power plants had enough supply to remain functional.
Bhatt also ensures that consumers will not face all kinds of power shortages during the upcoming celebration season and MGVCL ensure that even farmers do not face the problem of power supply.
Stressing that all Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSEC) factories will begin to function in the next few days, Bhatt said that currently the MGVCL requirements in the jurisdiction reach 1,600 MW per day.
“The five GSEC plants are functioning and the other ten will begin to produce power in the next few days.
In addition, we buy surplus power available with other states.
The power produced from renewable sources such as the Sun and Wind is being used during the day of the energy Thermal and hydro are being used at night, “he said.
He said that agricultural feeders in rural areas face a maximum scheduled cutting of 30 minutes.
“We take enough steps to ensure that there is no shortage,” he said.
