Mumbai: Coronavirus Vaccination Center which is run by the Maharashtra government and the Civic body in Mumbai will remain closed on September 10 for administrative and technical reasons, said Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday.
The BMC release said the inoculation drive in these centers will continue on September 11.
Vaccination will remain suspended on September 10 (Friday) in BMC and state government centers for several administrative and technical reasons, the release and clarified there did not have a lack of doses.
The number of adequate vaccine doses is available with government authority, he said.
Administration has held a special session to track full vaccinations of citizens who meet the requirements by giving them priority waiting for their second dose, the release said.
Therefore, administrative and technical problems related to the drive are being resolved, it is stated.
The Civic’s body added that it was also considering organizing special inoculation sessions for female beneficiaries.
At present, there are 455 Covid-19 vaccination centers active in Mumbai – 302 which are operated by BMC and 19 by the state government, while 134 are run by private hospitals.
