For the second time in August, vaccination drives in public centers have been canceled due to lack of vaccines.
BMC said there would be no drive on Thursday and Friday.
On Wednesday, vaccination was held in limited centers.
For the second day in a row this week, less than 50 of the 314 public centers operated.
Vaccination was canceled on August 4 also due to shortcomings.
As many as 39,538 people were vaccinated on Wednesday, of which 34,624 took shots in private centers.
Dr.
Mangala Gomare, BMC executive health worker, said it was surprising that the shortcomings did not lead to a significant increase in feet in a private raft who had sufficient shots.
“It is assumed that it might be in a hurry because the local train is permitted, but it doesn’t seem so,” he said.
The city has provided nearly 77 lakh shots at all.
