Pune: Concerns about the division of rural vaccination – urban areas are unreasonable because 60% of all doses given so far in the villages, a major official of the central government told TI on Thursday.
NK Arora, Chairman of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (Ntagi), said that on August 3, 46.3 doses of lakh were given in rural areas, compared to 19.24 lakh in the city center.
He said, “Rural areas vaccinate more people.
Many think the vaccine doubts will be a barrier, but almost 60% of all the doses given so far have been given in rural areas.” Cowin data from the last two weeks shows sites.

On August 4, almost 21.9 doses of lakh were given in the Indian countryside, compared to 15.4 lakh in urban areas.
According to Cowin, more than 7.08 crore doses were given in the country in the past two weeks.
Of these, around 4.46 crorses were given in rural areas, while 2.62 crores were given in urban centers.
During the 15th of today, the highest number of doses managed in the Indian countryside was on August 3 (46.32 doses of lakh), followed by 44.7 lakh at 26 and 41.9 lakh in August 2.
