Ranchi: With Jharkhand managing the Covid-19 vaccine for the second time in the past two weeks, drive vaccination in the state will be suspended from Friday.
The drive is limited to one vaccination center in Ranchi on Thursday even when the State Health Department transferred around 6,000 doses of the three districts for state capital.
The department said a total of 58,443 people were given a vaccine on Wednesday and had 47,210 doses left for Thursday.
The next consignment is set to reach Ranchi on Friday when more than one dose of lakh will arrive.
However, the drive in this district is likely to be disturbed from Friday as distribution and transportation takes time.
Special assignment officers for the Ministry of Health, Naman Priyesh Lakra, said, “We are left with only 40,000 doses as on Thursday morning and it is not enough for the vaccination target of the day.
We have no doses left for Friday.” Lakra added that the state was regulated To receive more than one dose of Lakh Covaxin on Friday.
“Once we receive a dose, we will send it to the district.
Meanwhile, the department diverts 6,000 doses (3,000 doses of dumka and 1,500 doses of each of the Palamu and Sahibganj) for encouragement in Ranchi.
