Nagpur: Despite receiving new vaccine stocks on Saturday, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) decided to keep all Covid-19 vaccination centers in the city closed on Sundays.
Inoculation tends to remain affected for a few more days a week because the district has received very little dose.
The statement issued by NMC, Supplementary City Commissioner Ram Joshi said that the Civic body did not get enough covishield doses from the government, therefore, there would be no vaccination in NMC and government centers on Sunday.
NMC has around 6,000 covaxin doses left after vaccination on Saturday.
It received 8,800 doses on Saturday.
However, five covaxin centers will still be closed on Sundays.
The district gets 45,000 doses of covishield on Saturday.

On Saturday, NMC vaccination continues only for 45-plus, which is also limited to the covishield center.
Stock is over and the center is closed at 1:00 p.m.
The covaxin dose continues for 18-plus in five centers.
