Pune: Four teasts in the country’s countryside do not have a hotspot village of Covid-19, according to Report Zilla Parishad.
Khed, Bhor, Maval and Vele Tehsils have more than 20 hotspot villages in July and August.
Since then, the situation has increased significantly, officials said.
The number of hotspot villages in 13 tehsils also reduced from 96 weeks to 91.
The village with 10 or more active cases is considered a hotspot.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar District Health Officer connects this trend to multi-fold efforts from the village to the Tehsil.
ZP, however, worried about Junnar (25 hotspot villages), Baramati (15), Indapur and Ambegaon (each of 12 villages) and Daund (10), said officials.
“Testing is being carried out.
We are sure that everything will improve,” said Ayush Prasad, CEO of ZP.
Prasad said that special vaccination drives in remote areas and tribal belts have covered large populations in many teasts.
“Vaccination encourages have collected momentum and will help improve further situations,” he said.
