There was no Covid-19 death in the south, the Tamil Nadu case remained below 1,600

Chennai: The case of Covid-19 in the state has fallen down below 1,600 in the past week, with 1,532 new cases reported on Monday.
This took the state counting to 26.13 lakh which included 17,085 people still undergoing treatment for infection.
At least 21 people surrendered to infection, but there was no death in the southern district of the country.
New cases in the state down from 1.604 on August 23 to 1,585 on August 24.
Since then there has been a slow decline in new cases.
On Monday, of 1,532 cases, 79 children under 12 and 242 people were 60 years and over.
On Monday, 1.5 lakh was tested for Covid-19, which took the total number of people tested to 4.1 crore.
The state of the state testing is 0.9% on August 29.
188 new infections were reported in Coimbatore (2.1% TPR), which continued to report maximum new cases in the state, has pushed the number of new cases to 559 in eight years.

While new cases in the southern district are 115, the same as Sunday, there is no death in this region on Monday.
1,340 people are treated for infection, increasing from 1,329 on Sundays.
At least 1,739 was sent home after successfully receiving treatment.
While Western Regency reported eight deaths, the northern region and the center reported that the five deaths were followed by the Chennai region with three deaths including one in Chennai.
