New Delhi: There is no shortage of covid vaccines and the government has provided a free vaccine supply to the countries and the territory of the union to invest the priority beneficiaries, Rajya Sabha is informed on Tuesday.
Also, there is no delay in placing orders with domestic vaccine manufacturers, more precisely vaccine orders are placed with Indian Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech for supply of Covid-19 vaccine, the Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar said in a reply’s writing.
Responding to questions about whether many countries including Maharashtra who were hit hardest to complain about the lack of vaccines for the past three months, he said, “There is no shortage of Covid-19 vaccine and the Government of India has provided free supply of vaccines to the state and UTS for administration to prioritize the recipient benefits as recommended by Negvac.
