These Children trek 6 Kilometers Each Day for e-classes

IDUKKI: Kerala will indicate the start of the following academic year of electronic schooling on Tuesday but studying in the home has been a fantasy for most pupils in Idukki.
Preliminary data with Samagra Shiksha Kerala (SSK), the college education programme of their country authorities, reveal that 2,015 pupils at the district do not have access to online instruction.
A group of pupils, such as women, continues to be walking kilometres from Rajamala estate branch of Kanan Devan Hills Plantations at Munnar into Eravikulam National Park for the previous several weeks to attend online courses.
TOI had reported their own position at January and the problem hasn’t changed however.
Aparna R, a plus-one pupil of Adimali Govt Higher Secondary College, confirmed this, stating they walk into the park daily because there’s not any suitable cell community in Rajamala to attend the courses.
She had been living at Pettimudy close Munnar before, along with her family had changed into Rajamala following a landslide about August 6 that claimed 70 lives.
Job J Neriamparampil, helper wildlife warden of Eravikulam National Park, stated pupils sitting by the roadside using their cellular telephones is a normal scene in the playground.
“I’ve been viewing them nearly daily for the last several months.
Even in the playground, they get appropriate mobile community,” he explained.
The situation isn’t restricted to Rajamala as several places from the district absence appropriate internet connectivity.
SSK district program officer Bindumol D stated that they’re collecting details of pupils who cannot access online instruction.
Idukki district collector H Dineshan said network link could be guaranteed in Rajamala in a week.
