Coimbatore: Vice President and Member of the Board of Thethipalayam Pancayat in Thondamuthur accused the Pancrayat President to indulge in corruption.
They have sent complaints to district collectors, District Rural Development Projects and Assistant Panchayats who are looking for Panchayat and several board members and other staff in Pancayat.
They were accused of misuse of funds, demolition of Panchayat properties, sucking project funds and non-implementation projects.
President Panchayat P Kandasamy, however, has denied the allegations and said he was ready for the probe.
According to complaints, the public toilet which was in the right form and used by several villagers was destroyed just because it was close to the properties of President Panchayat and his relatives.
The drinking water connection was given to the livestock warehouse from E Jagan, Member of the Council of Environmental 6 and a close colleague of President Panchayat.
Even though it was just a cowhouse, they misdone they had built a house on the site and gained a relationship in Convance with the president, the complaint said.
The petition said opposed the government’s rules and several court orders that should not be used for any purpose, President Panchayat was building an overhead tank on the six-cents backup site in Murugan.
Likewise, Panchayat Records showed that the Kabaddi court was established at the reserve location at Annai Velanni Nagar under the MGNREGA scheme.
“But there is no such work done under the scheme.
Funds under the scheme are sucked by producing fake documents to show that such work is done,” said the complainant.
The document was delivered to show that a work was carried out through the MGNREGA scheme to establish a volleyball field and people paid jobs.
But the fact is that there is no volleyball court established, said complaints signed by around eight members of the Board and Vice President Panchayat.
Kandasamy said that they were building an overhead tank in the backup location because they could not find the right place.
, The toilet was dismantled again and there were plans to build new and better toilets.
For volleyball fields and the Kabaddi court, Kandasamy said they had searched for more funds and so funds allocated work will be carried out in full.
