Thane: About 100 contractual health workers employed by Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) in the Thane District in Maharashtra held ‘beggar protests’ against the civil body, accusing non-payment of wages by him over the past four months.
These workers – Nurses and boys – holding agitation outside the headquarters of citizens on Wednesday.
They have provided their services at Pandit Hospital Bhimsen Joshi Covid run by MBMC.
Health workers accused that they had not been paid for wages since the last four months, because they faced difficulties.
Take the problem of these workers, the carrier of the voluntary organization’s office led the delegation to the Dilep Dhole City Commissioner to discuss the request.
The organization said that the civil heads assured that the problem would be resolved soon.
When contacted, the commissioner’s office confirmed that the meeting took place on Wednesday and guarantees given to the delegation.
