Thieves use this new trick to steal the iPhone by fooling users to reveal their Apple ID

New Delhi: Apple recently made a big upgrade to the Findmy application with new IOS updates.
So, on paper, if your iPhone is stolen and the device is turned off even if you will be able to track the location of your missing iPhone with the Findmy network.
This technology is available for iPhone 11 and above.
Even though this feature might make you feel invincible, thieves have found a smarter way to fool you.
IPhone 12 users from Delhi take it to Twitter to tell this trials about losing their iPhone and how the ‘FINISHING’ thief Details of the Apple ID login to turn off the ‘Findmy’ location tracking feature.
Phishing awareness / Alert 🚨 Update, if your iPhone is stolen and the thief decides to turn it off even though you will be able to track it.
The only way someone can disable the Findmy application tracking by deleting an iCloud account from the iPhone owner.
And this is what the thieves do.
Thieves use phishing fraud to steal the Details of iCloud login from the user.
The user gets an SMS that claims that the missing iPhone 12 has been found and “turned on temporary”.
SMS also has a link to track location.
By clicking the link, the user is asked to enter the iCloud account to track the location of the missing iPhone.
A little he knew that it was a phishing site and used to steal login credentials from the iCloud account to turn off the tracking feature.
When the iPhone is marked as lost, it is locked remotely with a passcode and you can display a special message with your phone number on the lock screen of your lost device.
When a special message on the missing iPhone displays a telephone number, the scammers now send an SMS to the telephone number with a link to the Phishing website exactly like the iCloud website.
SMS will have a message like: “Your lost iPhone has been found.
Click here to see the location” along with the link to the Phishing website.
When you click this link to see the location of your missing iPhone, the fake iCloud website that looks exactly similar to the original, will open and ask you to enter with your iCloud ID and password.
This phishing website only stole your login information and send it to the thief so they can unlock your missing iPhone and use it.
After this is done, there is little chance to restore your iPhone.
