Jaipur: Amid fears that children will be more susceptible to Covid infection in the third wave, the government’s hospital network has been planned in the city to ensure the right treatment for Covid Pediatric patients.
At the Hospital Sciences of Health Covid Rajasthan dedicated (Ruhs), a separate ICU for pediatric patients will appear where JK Lon’s hospital doctor will be deployed.
“Children need various types of facilities for care and for that purpose we develop separate ICU for Covid pediatric patients and several common beds in hospitals will also be provided for children.
We are getting ready to deal with the third wave of Covid.
Because we have less than 100 Covid patients today at our hospital, we have started repairing equipment, staff recruiting and expanding our ICU facilities by adding 100 more beds, “said Dr.
Ajit Singh, supervisor, Ruhs Hospital.
In addition, of 800 beds, JK Lon Hospital managed by the Child Government will dedicate 600 beds to Covid pediatric patients.
“We have booked 200 beds for super specialties such as child cardiology, pediatric nephrology and also for pediatric operations.
Because the facility was not available at other children’s hospitals, we had decided not to shift patients like that and order 200 beds, “Dr.
Arvind Shukla, Supervisor, JK Lon Hospital.
He said that they would shift other non-covid patients to Gangauri hospital managed by the government and satellite hospital in Sethi Colony.
“We will have an extra bed in the Ruhs Hospitals for covid patients, and will shift non-covid patients to the Gangauri satellite hospital and hospital,” Dr Shukla said, added that they had 600 beds and out of 300 was a bed ICU, break 300.
Convert into ICU beds, because the state government provides more equipment to the hospital.
“We have focused oxygen supply for each bed and when needed, will turn it into an ICU bed in minutes,” said Dr.
Shukla.
Sati Colony satellite hospital also strengthens facilities to ensure that if non-covid patients shift from JK Lon hospitals, they will not face difficulties in accommodating them.
