Even the Surat Municipal Corporation has begun having daily meetings with health officials and experts to chalk out a strategy in the event the Covid-19 instances once more begin rising in town.

“There’s a risk that children may be affected if a third tide comes since they won’t be vaccinated.

Included in its planning, the civic system is assuring to make oxygen beds for kids, paediatric intensive care units (PICU) and neonatal intensive care units (NICU).
An SMC official stated they are planning to make 2,000 into 3,000 beds for kids should a third tide comes.
The human anatomy officials have held meetings with all members of Indian Academy of Pediatrics’ Surat chapter and also have obtained recommendations .
