Thiruvallam Zonal Lone Office to Publish Tax Data

Thiruvananthapuram: With a 30-day line stated by Mayor Arya Rajendran to complete the tax update process ending on Friday, four wards under Thiruvallom Zonal Office will be the first to publish updated tax data.
Save for wards under the Zonal Office Thiruvallom, the update process cannot be resolved in all the remaining wards.
Officials hope around 50 wards will be able to get updated property data published at least next week.
After fraud funds in zonal offices, the mayor said the council meeting in October that all data related to property taxes would be verified, updated and published within 30 days.
Even then officials who have dealt with disruption in software and data that are inaccurate remains skeptical about the optimistic declaration of the mayor.
For three collectors of Rajiv bills, Roshni, Ashmi, Revenue Inspector Girija Kumari and Charge Officer Sukila Jiji, has become the task of Herculean for the past month to get a receipt and posted online.
Officials related to Thiruvallom Zonal Office said that they had the initial advantage of posting data every day.
“We started by migrating all data in old software since 1998 to new ones.
Then the physical verification of the acceptance was carried out to iron inaccuracy and incompatibility.
More than 10,000 receipts were verified and posted in the past month.
We surpassed the reception book manually and entry From the old software posted a new one, “said one of the revenue officials related to the Zonal Towgruvallom office.
Apart from their hard work, they still have to deal with lack of IKM software, corporate problems have repeatedly raised before the state government but without concrete intervention to solve it.
One of the advantages of publishing all the latest data about property tax is that the company will now have a pretty good idea about actual absenteeism in every ward.
Because the tax for the first half of the fiscal year was recorded in the ninth month, those who had not paid taxes for 2021-22 in the first round will also find themselves in the default list.
The absence of bill collectors around 28 wards has also slowed the process.
Two years ago, the corporation had conducted data cleaning exercises similar to Roping in temporary data entry operators, but even that the data update process had not produced the desired results.
BJP leader M R Gopan told the council that although the tax contribution was cleaned until 2020-21, the system still reflects its contributions.
When this problem was brought to the attention of the ruling council, it was updated and posted on the system.
While four wards under the Thiruvallom zone managed to issue an updated list, it would not be easy for other offices due to problems in the software and the lack of clear data to be done.
Officials recognize that migration to new software from 2016-17 has been ridden by problems because old data never transferred completely and in a perfect way.
