Thiruvananthapuram: City police have completed the probe in the alleged attack on two North Indian pairs with criminals near pettah and have submitted a Chargesheet before additional justice judge courts here.
The attack took place around 8:30 a.m.
on June 27.
Ravi Yadav from Haryana and Jagath Singh from Uttar Pradesh and their partner is a complainant in this case.
They were attacked when they were on the road to walk evening.
Both Yadav and Singh are employees of the central government who work at the Accounting Office in the City.
Rakesh, 28, from V V Round near Pattooror, Praveen, 25, from Kannnamoola, Abhijith Nair from Pazhakutti near Nedumangad and Shiju, 28, from thekkummoodu near Pattom was the defendant.
Rakesh and Praveen riding a motorcycle when they saw the couple walking along the way.
The two men walked in front while their partner was left behind.
Rakesh, who was riding a pilot, harassed one of the women.
When Ravi Yadav and Jagath Singh dealing with them heard the commotion, the defendant attacked them using sharp weapons and involved injury.
Balramkumar City Police Commissioner Upadhyay said that Rakesh and Praveen who participated in the crime.
They are still under judicial resistance.
Abhijith Nair and Shiju, who face charges to hide the main charges, come out with a guarantee.
Because the police had submitted a chargesheet before the main accusation of getting a guarantee, they had to face the trial while remaining under the judiciary, the commissioner said.
The four defendants were arrested four days after the crime.
Delay in their arrest has resulted in a lot of criticism of the police from all angles.
After arrest, the Commissioner has said that there are no weaknesses from the police and even promise to complete investigations within 30 days.
