Thiruvananthapuram: Swedish National Facing Legal Problems on Property in VattaPpara

T’puram: After attracting public attention after his unpleasant meeting with the police, the Swedish entrepreneur based in Kovalam Stefan Asberg said that this was not the first time he was trapped in an unwanted situation.
He revealed that he was involved in a legal twist on a property he had purchased at VastAppara near Vazhamuttom for business purposes.
He had met the city police and said that the son of the former landlord, from whom he bought property worth Rs 1.65 Crore, has occupied a portion of the property and he would not move.
He has bought property after forming a company, Indigi Homestay and Resorts Pvt Ltd, along with Indian business partners.
He and his wife invested their all life savings here when they fell in love with the beauty and culture of Kerala.
Now, he was involved in the battle of the court to claim property ownership.
He also told the police that he faced a threat from the former Tanah, Shibu son.
Speaking to Toi, Fort ACP SS Shaji said that Stefan had met him and shared about the problem.
“However, he has not provided official complaints,” he said, adding that even if he received official complaints, troops needed to seek legal advice because the problem was sub-animal.
A day ago, Kovalam Si (class) Shaji was placed under Penskorsan to ‘force’ Stefan to empty the bottle of liquor on the road because he did not carry bills.
Shaji has submitted a petition before the main minister seeking a fair investigation in this case claiming that he did not embarrass foreigners.
The petition was forwarded to CM on Saturday night through the Kerala police officer association.
