Thiruvananthapuram: A 13-year-old boy died of suicide by hanging at his home in Venganoor in Vizhinjam here on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Adityan, Manoj’s son and Niji.
According to the police, Adityan was found hanging from the window stem by his grandmother who lived in the neighborhood.
Adityan, his brother Aswin and Sister Ananya was at home and their parents went to work.
The police said that children played with cellphones and there were quarrels between children using the phone.
Adityan left the phone with his brother and closed himself in the room.
When Grandma came to the house in the afternoon to check out the children, she asked about Adityan.
The children told him that Adityan was angry with them and he was in the room.
Grandma saw Adityan hanging from the window rod and he immediately sought help from other people to rush to the hospital.
He was taken to the Vizhin Primary Health Center where he was declared dead.
The body then shifted to Medical College Mebuary.
The body will be released to relatives after the Covid-19 exam and inspection procedure.
Manoj, father of Adityan, took a double job as a car driver and went fishing to take care of the family.
Niji will go to sell fish.
