Thiruvananthapuram: Kilimanoor Police have arrested a 27-year-old man with allegations of suicidal reduction in connection with the death of a 17-year-old girl.
The police identified the defendant as Nair from Madhathil Vilakathu House Jishnu in Alatanukavu near Kilimanoor.
The girl allegedly consumed poison on Sunday.
But he kept him a secret from his parents.
On Wednesday, he fainted at his house after his parents rushed to the hospital.
But, he died on Thursday while undergoing treatment.
Only after it was revealed that he had consumed poisons.
The old man then learned that he had sent an SMS accused on Sunday that he would consume poison and take his life.

Kilimanoor Sho Inspector S Sanuj said that there they had received evidence from the WhatSApp chat between the defendant and the girl to sue her suicidal reduction.
“The girl met and fell in love with the defendant when she was treated at Covid’s first-line care center in Valanchery near Kilimanoor three months ago.
The defendant worked there as a volunteer,” Inspector said.
The accusation promised to marry her.
Then, he knew that he had established a relationship with another woman, which apparently broke her heart and fished her to take extreme steps, he said.
