Thiruvananthapuram: The laughter police in the city on Sunday arrested a 27-year-old man on charges of persecution after he was suspected of sexual progress against relatives in the last house.
The police said that the alleged incident related to this case occurred around 3 pm on Saturday.
The defendant appeared at the 37-year complainant residence allegedly in drunk condition and tried to reach it.
When he opposed his progress, he harassed it orally.
He shouted for help following a nearby living nearby.
They also told the police who followed the registered case.
Sub-Inspector of Laughter N Ashok Kumar said that the defendant had harassed the woman in the past too.
The police have booked him asking for part 354 IPCs related to attacks or using criminal powers in a woman with a view to anger.
The defendant was produced in front of the court and then returned in the custody of the judiciary.
