Thiruvananthapuram: DTPC (District Tourism Promotion Board) fostered a new Christmas celebration by riding a helicopter.
The plan is to provide a helicopter vehicle for people with affordable rates.
This will be held in Kovalam.
The program will begin on December 29 and will continue until 1.
January DTPC has partnered with a Holiday Shop company for this project.
Bell407, the helicopter made u s will be used for travel.
The helicopter trip will start from the Kovalam Raviz Hotel helipad and will return there after travel.
The vehicle will be set as two schedules that will begin in the morning at 9:00 a.m.
The basic package is for 4,500 Rs and passengers can choose from four packages available and can also choose the route.
The company will also provide a ride to Ponmudi which will take around 29 minutes.
There is a silver package for a seven minute trip, a premium package for a 10 minute trip, Platinum package for a 14-minute trip and a golden package for half an hour drive.
The tariff is Rs 4,500 for silver packages, 6,000 Rs for premium packages, each package of Rs 8,500 Platinum and Rs 17,500 for gold packages.
This pandemic hit the district tourism so severe and DTPC tried to fix it.
This project aims to promote Kovalam Beach tourism by coming with innovative tourism ideas like this.
“This project aims to provide opportunities for ordinary people to ride a helicopter at a relatively lower price.
As part of attracting more tourists, the department has planned to launch innovative tourism products,” Sharon Vetil said, Secretary of DTPC.
“This is the second time we held a helicopter tour in Kovalam.
Previously it was on the occasion of Onam’s celebration and went well,” Vaisakh B P said, vacation business officials.
