This Christmas, people pay more attention to the decor reuse

Panaji: Goa welcomes another Christmas season during a pandemic.
However, unlike last year, the new omicron virus and variant had not dampened the festive spirit today.
Whether it’s a white or multi-color light, traditional decoration or trend, a small or large Christmas tree, people will decorate their homes.
However, the owners of several popular decoration stores seem to have noticed the shift in consumer purchases, with more people choosing long-lasting products that can be repeated use, instead of single purchases.
“The trend rises upwards with people no longer interested in low-quality decoration and there are developments in terms of taste, quality and upscale products because people choose premium quality products,” said Darlene Fernandes, Prougrietor, Casa J D Fernandes.
Ganesh Phadte, another decorative seller in the state capital, said that more people revoke heavy streamers from shop shelves compared to ordinary light plastic lights that had one-use.
“The whole pattern of purchases once quite a lot disappears,” he said.
Although it is a year celebration time where people are ready to burn holes in their pockets with expenses, awareness behind a recyclable product or reusable has forced the owner to consider sea shifts in their stories.
“We haven’t taken anything from China and only shown quality products sourced locally,” said the Suresh Narvestar businessman.
Employers said they witnessed a 30% decline in sales this year because of a pandemic.
In addition, import difficulties have caused a rate increase of 35-40%.
“Product costs consequently also rise depending on source However, a wider range of prices allow people to choose from the base to the best.
For example, Christmas stars are available from the range of Rs 30 to Rs 2,500 per unit, while the Christmas tree can cost between Rs 1,500 to RS 20,000.
