Google is reported to work to launch a new Chrome feature that will make it easier for users to search through search history and bookmarks.
According to the report with Chrome Story, Giant Tech has added a new experimental flag to the Chromium repository.
The next report reveals that the flag “Omnibox Search Site Starter Pack” will allow users to search for certain links or pages with the help of special tags.
According to the report, the flag allows support for search keywords such as @settings, @bookmarks and @mistory.
These tags will allow you to search through history, bookmarks, and settings through Omnibox Chrome.
At present the user can use Omnibox to search history, bookmarks, and settings by navigating to Chrome: // History, Chrome: // Settings, and Chrome: // Bookmark.
However, with new @tag, the search reportedly became strong and focused.
This report has also mentioned that this feature does not live in the latest version of Beta Chrome or Canary and the technology giant does not share official information about the launch of the feature.
This week Google has begun to issue a new update for the Chrome browser.
Updates carry the browser version up to 97.0.4692.99.
The company has announced that updates will be available for Windows Windows, Mac and Linux operating system users.
The technology giant also revealed that the update came with 26 security improvements.
One of these improvements has become a critical market by the company and users are advised to update their browser now.
