Noisiel (France): Indian Grandmaster P is to win the Chess Noisiel International Open 2021 tournament here, scoring eight points from nine rounds on the classic event after securing the main prize in the Blitz section.
This (ranking Elo 2506) finished half a point in front of GM Yuri Solodovnichenko from Ukraine (Elo 2561) which secured 7.5 points, while the French international Master of the Cambrath Yannick took the 3rd place.
It won seven of the nine matches he played, including against two Lords of France.
He drew two matches and one of them was against Solodovnichenko Ukraine.
He finished the event with a victory over Sebastian’s waist in the ninth round on Saturday.
This is the first GM of the Board Open event since January 2020 and his victory allows him to get 13 rank points.
The Swiss nine-round system with classical time control saw 54 players from nine countries participating.
Previously, GM India won the Blitz event, scoring 7.5 points from nine rounds.
He won seven matches, drawing one and lost one to Azerbaijan GM Guliyev Namig.
It was posted to win against the French GM Jonathan Dourerassou, Tunisia GM Slim Belkhodj, France IMS Kambrat Yannick and Benjamin Bujish.
He settled due to a draw against Solodovnichenko.
He had finished the same at 7.5 points with the other two but the winner appeared based on a better tie-break score.
