This iPhone charging cable can steal your password

A security researcher who uses the name MG has developed a lightning cable to charge an iPhone that hides the chip in it which can be used to record any type.
The charging cable can then send everything typed when connected to the device to someone remotely.
So, if you connect this cable to charge your iPhone, and type the password of the banking site or social media, it will convey information instantly, according to the report by the representative.
The security researcher showed off that this cable succeeded in doing his work and Apple’s security could do very little about this.
The frightening bit is that researchers intend to produce this charging cable and sell it.
According to the report by the representative, “MG previously demonstrated the previous version of the cable for the motherboard at the def con hacking conference in 2019.
Shortly after that, MG said he had succeeded in moving cables into mass production, and Cybersecurity Vendor Hak5 began to sell cables.” Cable Charging is called ‘omg cable’ and “they work by making a Wi-Fi hotspot itself which can be connected by a hacker from their own device.
From here, the interface in the usual web browser allows hackers to start recording the emphasis button,” he added.
Interestingly, the cable also comes with a “geofencing feature” that allows users to “trigger or block the load of the device” depending on where it is used.
“It’s paired well with the self-destruction feature if the OMG cable leaves the scope of your involvement and you don’t want your charge to leak or run accidentally against a random computer,” said Mg.
Even though the small space available in the charging cable, it is quite concerned that someone can really match the effective chip that can divulge sensitive information to someone separate one mile.
