New Delhi: The first gold medalist in India on the route and the field at the Olympics, Neeraj Chopra, on Sunday revealed his excitement after attending the celebration of the 75th Independence Day in Fort Red, said “it tastes great” that the whole nation is proud of the history made in Tokyo.
The Indian Olympic hero includes Neeraj, Mirabai Chanu, Ravi Dahiya along with officials of Indian Sports Authority (SAI) attending the celebration of independence day.
“I can’t express that feeling.
It was really great.
I was honored to attend the celebration of Independence Day in the Red Fortress.
As a soldier or athlete, my heart was full of emotions when I saw a high national flag.
It makes me feel proud , “Neeraj said on the sidelines of the felication function organized by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) in Ashoka Hotel.
“This is just the beginning of a trip.
A simple family boy like I have become a favorite of the whole country.
The type of support we get from the government is extraordinary.
This will help us to work more and win more medals for the nation,” Add it.
NEERAJ accepts Rs 75 lakh gift from IOA.
“I want to thank IOA for a beautiful ceremony and support,” he added.
Asked about his health when Neeraj went down with a previous fever, Javelin’s star said, “he’s fine”.
