Kanpur: The Income Tax Department conducts a raid on the place of two Kannauj-based perfume traders, including the Samajwadi Party MLC Pushpraj Jain aka Pampi Jain – The man behind the Parfumony.
Other perfume traders under the IT scanner have been identified as Mohammed Yaqood.
The search for IT approached the heels of the attack by GST intelligence on Piyush Jain’s perfume traders in Kanpur and Kannauj, where RS 198 crore cash recovered on the last few days apart from several kilograms of gold and sandalwood oil.
The Friday attack began at around 7 in the morning when the IT team with police reserves reached Pushpraj Jain’s Chhipaiti House when MLC and his family.
Raids came for hours before SP President Akhilesh Yadav was to overcome a press conference in Kanna.
