To make it easier for airlines, trains, hotels and others including your office to find out whether someone is vaccinated or not, the Ministry of Health and family welfare has introduced a new Cowin KYC API that will tell a certain person’s vaccination status without revealing his personal details.
With this system, airlines, hotels, trains and one that use fire will automatically get to know the status of passenger or customer vaccination.
To use this Cowin API, an individual needs to enter his cellphone number and name.
After that, they will get the OTP they have to enter.
In return, Co-Win will send a response to the entity verifying in individual vaccination status.
The response will be presented as 0.1 or 2.
This is translated into: 0 – People are not vaccinated, 1 person vaccinated partly, 2 people are fully vaccinated.
This response will be signed digitally and can be shared instantly with the verification entity.
“An example of real life can occur when when booking train tickets, an individual will enter the details needed to buy a ticket and if needed, the entity concerned will also get vaccination status in the same transaction, with the maturity of individual agreements,” according to the statement to the media.
KYC-vs will facilitate all such use cases and more.
This is the preservation of approval and privacy.
Also, to facilitate fast integration and faster adoption, the Co-Win team has prepared web pages with fire, which may be embedded in any system.
This service can be used by service, private or public providers, which verify individual vaccination status is very important to facilitate the requested service.
With this fire, a company or employer might know the vaccination status of his employees to continue functions in the office, workplace etc.
Also, the hotel can get to know the vaccination status of occupants when they check to the hotel, or when making an online order.
