WhatsApp has reportedly started launching the first beta update this year for Android users.
According to Report by Wabetainfo, WhatsApp has released a new update through the Google Play Beta program, carrying versions of up to 2.22.2.10.
Further reports mention that the latest beta update comes with hidden references about features that will allow users to create communities in future updates.
Similar hidden references were also seen in beta updates released for iOS smartphones a few weeks ago.
For those who do not know, Facebook’s message platform has worked on community features for a while.
According to the screen of the screen distributed by Wabetainfo, a community has a name and description, as seen in the group.
After entering the name and description, the user will get an option to create a new group or link up to 10 groups.
Apart from this, the update also has a reference from the mysterious group in the community.
The aim of the group that is automatically made by the platform is unknown but the report shows that it will allow the admin to share messages to all the linked groups.
Previous reports by Wabetainfo suggested that when users join the community, they will not be able to see the group that has been repeated.
In addition, when users leave the community, they will not be able to see the group that is linked to the community again.
Because this feature is under development, you cannot make a community now.
The platform is likely to launch features in the update.
WhatsApp also redesign the way you receive notifications when someone mentions you and reply to your message in the group.
With the latest beta update for iOS users, the group message notification will mention if someone has replied your message or if someone mentioned you in a message in the group together with a short message preview and group name.
